Area VIII Junior High Boys/Girls, and Area VIII Youth Championships

General Information:
-All Area VIII registrations will be online.
-The cost of online registration is $37.
-If you are 12 years old and in Junior High, you can only register for one tournament Youth or Junior High.
-All wrestlers must show their birth certificate and have a PJW disclaimer form signed by the parent or guardian at weigh-ins. Disclaimer form is attached below.
Area VIII Futures:
-Tournament Location: Maplewood High School 30383 Guys Mills Road Guys Mills, Pa 16327
-Tournament Date: February 4, 2023
-Tournament Director:Justin Motter; email: motterj@hotmail.com
-Weigh-ins: Saturday February 4th from 8:00 am to 9:00 am
- Wrestling Starts at: 10:00 am
-Registration deadline: February 3rd at 8:00 pm
-Wrestlers in the 6 & under, 7 & 8, 9 & 10 and 11 & 12 age divisions who are First, or Second year wrestlers.
-No wrestler will advance to the PJW State Tournament.
-The top 4 place winners at each weight class will receive a Medal from PJW Area VIII.
-Champion will receive PJW hoddie with Champion on back.
-Second place will receive PJW Long Sleeve shirt with Runner up on Back.
-Wrestlers are eligible to wrestle in the Area VIII Qualifier in the 8 & Under Division only, Must pay both entry fees.
-PJW Youth State Championships held at the Peterson Event Center, Pittsburgh, PA

-Seeding Meeting: Friday February 17th, 2023 at Location Corry High School 6:30PM
-Weigh-in Times: 6:30AM-8AM, Sunday February 19th, 2023

-Registration deadline: Wednesday February 15th 2023 @ 8:00 Pm
-The top 4 place winners at the Area VIII JH BOYS Championships will advance to the PJW State JH Championships to be held at the Cambria County War Memorial Arena in Johnstown PA. The Top 2 place winners in the Jr High GIRLS Championship will advance to the PJW state Tournament.

- Due to unforeseen circumstances the Weigh-in at Cathedral Prep will now be held at the Millcreek Mall in the Mad Mex corridor
-Youngsville Elementary School 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM - 232 2nd St Youngsville, Pa 16371
